Carlorful: Rethinking the Colorscape of Society

In 2021 I began to paint my car one piece at a time and document the process on TikTok. The response from the viewers is strong; and the opinions vary wildly! Through this project I have unintentionally stumbled upon a social taboo of standing out in the crowd. Coloring the world makes the unnoticed become noticed and makes the faceless masses suddenly memorable. Checkout the process on my TikTok channel!

Green Fremont

In 2022, I answered a call for artists, and the City of Fremont chose my design for application via vinyl wrap on an electrical box located in the heart of Fremont. Centered around the theme of "Going Green," my design prominently features various facets of the city's environmentally conscious initiatives, such as the implementation of protected bike lanes, EV charging facilities, and the integration of renewable energy production, while also showcasing iconic local infrastructure. My art can be found on the corner of BART Way and Civic Center in Fremont.

Things That Hold

Inspired by Bauhaus design concepts and visual elements, in this series I explore the often unappreciated aesthetic form of everyday and essential items that simply and elegantly solve problems.

Monster Mash

Monster Mashups is a mixed-media project where I combine thrifted toys (ranging from action figures to animal figurines) to create entirely new, hybrid creatures. One of the most fun aspects of my art practice is the ability to blend together familiar items to create the unexpected. These creations encourage you to embrace the wonderfully surreal and to anticipate the surprises that art can bring. From Hulkasaurus, to superhero Cluck Kent, my creations are a celebration of creativity.

Earth Signs

Our world is filled with visual communication. Public signage is one of the most fascinating methods of communication to me. Signage like this is designed to be understood within a context, with minimal to no text as to cross language and cultural barriers. In this series I expand on the familiar elements of public signs to create new communications, with new context and understanding, focused on environmental health.
